ADVANCED TRAINING PROGRAM

Duration: Two full days of classroom training

  • HIV/AIDS: The Global Burden and The Epidemiology in India
  • Pathogenesis (Virology and Immunology)
  • Lab Diagnosis & Monitoring RT/PT and OI
  • Primary Care for People Living with HIV& AIDS
  • Visual Diagnosis & Advanced Algorithms
  • Home Based Care
  • Nutrition
  • Anti-Retroviral Therapy
  • PPTCT and Neonatal Care
  • Pediatric AIDS
  • Universal Precautions & Post Exposure Prophylaxis
  • Legal and Ethical Issues
  • Counseling
  • Syndicate Case Discussions and Role Plays
Participation Criteria

  • Doctor (follower of any pathy), councelor, lab technicians, nurses or anyone who qualifies to be a Primary Care Provider to HIV& AIDS patients
    Note: Trainings are usually organized for a group belonging to same occupation
  • Has sufficient experience in the field of HIV& AIDS
  • This Module is also used for Training of Trainers (TOT), i.e. for the potential faculties
